My 2018 in Books

As I have been travelling in 2018, I hadn’t been reading as many books as I usually do. I did, however, manage a grand total of 54 averaging at pretty much 1 per week.

You can find me on Goodreads but I thought I would give you a summary of what I have enjoyed this year.

My year in books 2018

My Year in Books

I read 15,342 pages across 54. The longest book I read was 1,061 pages long (A Feast for Crows- George R. R. Martin) and the shortest book I read was 26 pages (A Moment in Time: A Short Story – Lyn Andrews). The most read book (according to Goodreads data) that I read in 2018 was the Great Gatsby (F. Scott Fitzgerald) and the least read book that I read in 2018 was Save Me Twice (E. A. Dustin).

My 10 Favourite 5-Star Ratings

This year I read a lot of books that I rated 5 stars because I stopped feeling obliged to finishing books that I wasn’t enjoying so I had more time to read books that I genuinely enjoyed. These are 10 of my favourites from 2018.

Great job with your reading. You have a nice mix of genres within your books. I don’t know how many books I read in 2018, but it wasn’t my best reading year.

Thank you! I’m really trying to be more varied with my reading considering in the last 5 years or so, I’d hardly strayed out of Young Adult & Fantasy! I use the GoodReads App to keep track, you should try it, it’s free! 🙂
