On the first leg of our trip to the other side of the world, we visited Dubai. It’s not somewhere that’s always been on my bucket list but I am glad we came. We landed on 18th January at 07:40 and took off to Singapore on 20th January at 21:15 so we practically had 3 full days. Here is how we spent 3 days in Dubai.
Arrive at Dubai airport. It is huge! We landed in Terminal 3 and we had to get a train to passport control & baggage claim.
We stayed in Rove Downtown Dubai and it took around 30 minutes (during morning rush hour traffic) and cost AED57.
We used today as a rest day at the pool in our hotel.
In the late afternoon we headed over to the Dubai Mall. It is somewhere you could spend more than a whole day exploring. There’s an aquarium, an ice skating rink, cinema, restaurants & of course countless shops for ALL budgets.
We went to the Mall of Emirates which also has a mixture of shops for different budgets.
We walked to see Burj al Arab and spent the rest of the day on Cove Beach. This was around a half an hour walk though most people taxi it.
We also tried to walk to the Marina not realising how far it was! Definitely take a taxi.
Today we had a lie in because tonight we have a night flight to Singapore which will arrive the next morning. After checking out, we headed over to Dubai Mall and went to the food court for a late lunch. Also, I couldn’t resist getting an ice cream from Baskin Robbins as the cones smelt divine!
We got a taxi to the airport from our hotel at 18:10 ready for our night flight.
