My Perfect Cosy Winter Night In

I hate winter. I love Christmas but I hate winter. I don’t like the cold. I don’t like snow. I don’t like the wet and the wind. I don’t like having to de-ice the inside of my car. Basically everything in winter minus Christmas makes me grumpy.
However, one thing I can do is a cosy night in! For my perfect night in in the winter, I need a few things to be cosy.
First, I need a good pair of thick, fluffy socks.
Winter bed socks
Secondly, I need comfortable pyjamas. Ones that are flexible enough for my strange contortions as I thrash around the couch but thick enough that I am not going to freeze to death. I love Primark pyjamas.
Cosy winter wear
Thirdly, I need a lovely, cosy blanket. In our house, these live in the conservatory.
Next, I need a hot drink but I’m very limited in what I can drink because I don’t like tea or coffee so I have my favourite home hot chocolates. I love the ALDI instant hot chocolate & Cadbury’s. For a hot chocolate out it always has to be a Costa!

Then, I’ll stick a candle on, my favourites include Yankee Candle’s Moroccan Argon Oil & Blackberry Bay No 2.

Once I’m settled in the corner slot of the L-shaped couch with my hot chocolate warming my hands & snacks such as salt & vinegar crisps, Wonka Nerds or cornflake cakes surrounding me, I have to make a decision.
Girly night in
I have two ways to make this perfect! I either:
a) Stick on a film favourite like Notting Hill, Pretty Woman or Life As We Know It
OR
b) grab my current read and spend hours curled up exploring a new world and story. My top genres for a cosy night in would be fantasy or dystopian fiction.

Sounds like a girl after my own heart. Although the cosy drink of choice for me has to be a PG Tips green tea – Bliss! As for films of choice, it’s a hard decision of either P.S I love you or Love Actually. 😊
